About the Event
Agape is excited to present the inaugural production of Why We Must Die So Young, written and directed by William Gebby. This exciting new work captures the history of the White Rose, an anti-Nazi movement in 1940s Germany. This will be the inaugural production in Indianapolis.

A Short Synopsis by William Gebby
During the darkest days of WWII, a handful of German university students—armed with typewriter, hand-cranked duplicating machine, and courage—distributed thousands of anti-Nazi leaflets and worked toward unifying resistance across Germany. Their ultimate goal: remove Hitler from power. Their name: The White Rose. Sophie Scholl and her brother, Hans, their friends Alex Schmorell, Christoph Probst, Willi Graf, and Traute Lafrenz were students, intellectuals, romantics who believed in God. That belief compelled them to fight a regime that was decidedly anti-God and—for that reason—decidedly anti-human.

As a reminder, all class registrations and ticket sales are final. In the event of a cancellation, tickets may be exchanged for another performance date or event. If a class is canceled, refunds or exchanges will be made available to registered participants.

Parking / Finding Our Facilities
Parking for Arts for Lawrence is anywhere next to the blue stars on the map below. Amphitheater parking is also available EXCEPT during concerts and festivals. Parking is also available next to 56th Street after 6:30 PM. The parking lot next to our facility is NOT for Theater or FBCC parking.
