About the Event

Class Ages: 18+

Notes: We recommend wearing clothes you don’t mind getting dirty. If possible, cut nails short for the session, it makes working with clay easier!

Treat your loved one this Mothers Day to a relaxing & creative Saturday afternoon at Arts For Lawrence!

Never done pottery or touched clay in your life!? No worries we got you! This workshop is perfect for beginners or intermediate potters. Over the course of two hours, we will take you through the process of hand-building your very own vase using slab and coiling building methods. Deanna will demonstrate various decorating techniques such as handles, carved or added embellishments - add your own personal flair and get creative!

The AFL Ceramics studio equipment, including eight pottery wheels and kiln, is generously supported by the Allen Whitehill Clowes Charitable Foundation Inc.
