About the Event
Liza Hyatt will be our featured poet on Saturday, April 20, 2024, to celebrate National Poetry Month.
We are booked at the Fort Ben Branch Public Library. A mature audience is encouraged. The library opens at 10:00 a.m. Liza will read from her works from 10:30 - 11:15 a.m. We'll take a short break for meeting attendees and for selling books. At 11:30 a.m. Community attendees would share their poetry around the room until 12:15 p.m. Our featured poet could then sell their books until 12:25 p.m.
We plan to provide a dual ticket for two lucky community attendees to win a free 2021 anthology poetry book, Laureate, by Liza Hyatt. Thanks to Linda Davis, Poets Laureate Poet who has volunteered to be present in support of our event. Let's be sure to mention/introduce any of our Poets Laureate Poets in attendance.
This is a free event.
Refund Policy
As a reminder, all class registrations and ticket sales are final. In the event of a cancellation, tickets may be exchanged for another performance date or event. If a class is canceled, refunds or exchanges will be made available to registered participants.

Parking / Finding Our Facilities
Parking for Arts for Lawrence is anywhere next to the blue stars on the map below. Amphitheater parking is also available EXCEPT during concerts and festivals. Parking is also available next to 56th Street after 6:30 PM. The parking lot next to our facility is NOT for Theater or FBCC parking.
