About the Event

This month's featured guest is Richie Whitehead.

Richie Whitehead is an award-winning clown, theatre-maker, and teacher based in Chicago. With seven original full-length works performed over 300 times internationally across the US, UK, and France, they have earned recognition in the arts community. Richie trained for two years with renowned master clown teacher Philippe Gaulier and has studied clown and physical comedy with experts such as Aitor Basauri and Christopher Bayes. In Chicago, they've performed in Collective Summ's All is Blue and Yellow and Rough House Theatre's House of the Exquisite Corpse. Richie is excited to tour their clown show The Wickie at Ottawa and Minnesota Fringe Festivals.

AFL has partnered with Indiana Drama Club to bring monthly drama classes to the Fort. Together we hope to bridge the gap between students of different abilities, ethnicities, and socioeconomic backgrounds, making theater accessible to all.
