Arts for Lawrence is looking for entries of hand-made Faerie Gardens to be on exhibit at the Fort Harrison State Park in July/August 2017. This is part of a state-wide celebration of Arts in the State Parks and Historic Places made possible by the Indiana Arts Commission.
This art exhibition is open to the public. All entries are eligible to be on display if they fit within the parameters listed below and the artist has registered with Arts for Lawrence.
Faerie gardens are judged by the following categories: Creativity, Artistic Quality, Craftsmanship, and the use of Indiana native materials. Two competitions, one for adults and one for youth, will result in the award of ribbons. Faerie Gardens will remain on display along the Harrison Trace Trail in hopes our native Indiana faeries find shelter
- Maximum size: 8” x 8” x 8”, 20 lb. max.
- Must be constructed of all natural materials.
- Exclusions include: Glue, non-toxic paint, paper, string, clay
- Entry fee of $10 (includes access into the State Park)
- Please include a description of your garden creation for our local faeiries.

Faerie Garden Workshop for youth participants (required). Adult participants are encouraged to attend if they have questions and take a walking tour of Harrison Trace Trail. Register online for this free workshop.

Delaware Lake Shelter House – refreshments
All Faerie Garden submissions will be on display at Delaware Lake Shelter House. Award winners will be announced during the Exhibition Opening and will be delineated by a ribbon. Faerie Gardens will be placed along the Harrison Trace Trail and marked on the 2017 Faerie Garden map made available at the Theater at the Fort. Faerie Gardens will remain on display through the end of August
